Pillar Rocked my Face OFF!!

Those of you that know me well know that I love hard rock music and even the yelling and screaming stuff that most people associate with the devil. Of course, one of my favorite bands is Pillar. They were in town on the weekend so of course Thomas and I went to rock out with some other crazy Christian rock fans. Good times.
The concert was part of the See Spot Rock Tour featuring Stellar Kart, The Wedding, Day Of Fire, Falling Up and Pillar. All good bands I must say. It was a great show and was plenty loud, like to the point that my ears are still ringing, what? who's talking to me...
The lead singer from The Wedding made a few comments that, because he is from the US and this being his first visit to Canada, he thought we would talk funny, but we really didn't. So after the show I went to meet him and put on my best Bob and Doug McKenzie accent. Take off eh, you hoser! And the dude loved it. "Wow man, you really DO have an accent. I can totally hear it man (laughs)". And then he tried it on the lead guitar guy, but sounded so American, hahahahaahaha. For some reason Americans just can't get the EH right.
Pillar played their cover of Sunday Bloody Sunday, absolutely incredible!! But I think the crowd fav was Front Line, great tune. Its basically a soldiers song.

Everybody, with your fists raised high
Let me hear your battle cry tonight
Stand beside, or step aside
We’re on the frontline

And of course I was in the middle of the mosh pit. It wasn't the best pit, but still fun. I was actually feeling old after the show cause I was so stiff and bashed up from the pit, as if someone had tried to rip my arms off or something, ugh. I even had a bruise on my back from something!! HAAA!!

Also, I just heard that Pillar just finished a music video for their song Front Line. I seen a preview of it and its looks really good!!

Repent Sarah repent!

Ok don't repent. I don't really listen to Pillar either, but being the brother (read: chauffeur) of James Samuel Neugebauer, I have definitely heard them.

It's so awesome just the extent that they get spiritual warfare, and especially as a thrilling and amazing thing-especially how Jesus already won, and He shares His victory with us. I love how in the U2 cover they really emphasise that line-"Now the battle's just begun/to claim the victory that JESUS won."

Live they're pretty cool too-saw them at KB 2 years ago (couldn't see them last year cause I was zonked from Skillet right before and went to see Upton). Anyways yeah I'm glad you and Tommy had an awesome time.
