And now for the continuation of "The Art Of GTing"!!!!!
If you haven't read part 1 (previous post) then you should.
Now on with the show!!
So we grew tired of the wee hill in the park cause, in the GTing community Bigger is always Better!! So we visited the local Golf Course to find a better hill...
We found the perfect spot on the 7th tee off. With a lot of work we built an even bigger jump than before and this time we were able to use the bottom half of the hill as a landing. Much smother than before, and no brick wall to hit if you landed out of control. Below, Jacob is attemping to tackle Andrew right before he hits the ramp.
To give you a proper perspective on how big the gap is, (gap = the distance between the ramp and the landing) the picture below gives you a better idea. Basically, Gaz man's cavalier would fit nicely.
More prespectiveication...
and again...
ok, enough already!
After we launched off it the first time we realized that this was no ordinarily jump. No, this was the Mother of all of'em!!
There was a few casualties, but no fatalities.
Sometimes even getting
to the jump was nearly impossible. What with a insanely steep run down to the jump that was almost a free fall!! Below Andrew plummeted out of control and came to rest on top of the monster.
It wasn't just us taking a beating! Our equipment suffered as well. Note below the shattered ski. Luckily Team Noma GT Snow Racer gave us their full factory support.
Once we over came our fears things started to go better.
But there still was a few scary moments. Below Zak is about to face plant into the snow as he lands without his GT SNow Racer underneath him.
But we still kicked it up a notch cause heck, we are crazy GTer's!!
Things got real crazy when we jumped so high that the screen wasn't big enough anymore!! below: note the top right corner.
You know, like in those video games that when you jumped ridiculously high that you went off of the screen....ya??
"I can see my house from here"!!
In the end we jumped over top of each other, a shovel standing up-right, and some guy cross-country skiing. If Drew's car actually was on the hill, we would have jumped over it, most of the time anyway.
Stay tuned for
even more GTing adventures with, those Crazy Guys from Alliston!!!!
