The Life of Steve

Its hard to blog when you don't really feel like it. I have a cold that was passed down to me from my parents, making it a generational cold. However my symtoms are not nearly as bad as my parents. My mom's been sick for over a week now and my dad had a 102.5 temperature and couldn't keep food down. blah. I'm not gonna complain though cause being at home gives me loads of time to spend with God and getting whatever else done. Good things.

For this Blog I don't have any funny stories or strange and random thoughts, although I could tell you about the plumbing work I did on tuesday. But it was a job involving "used" plumbing so the visuals of hair balls and, only God knows what that other stuff was, coming out of the pipes would most likely ruin your day. Maybe it just did. haha

So I decided to just ramble a bit, or a lot. We'll see.

Fresh Wind was absolutely amazing! The conference itself rocked but I have to say the best part was seeing so many of my friends and making new friends. I love people. I guess I'm a people person. Maybe that's what heaven will be like, all your friends just hanging around and you can just talk about whatever and frolic about in the priddy meadows eh. That will be sweet!

I did notice something slightly annoying at FW though. A lot of dudes have a similar hair du as mine. Although only a few had the back part goin on. So I realize now that I must go full on and grow the back out so it will be the real deal fauxhawk. No more messing around. Even though when its not spiked up it looks like I have a goofy looking mullet (which is sweet anyway). My cousin cuts my hair and she hates the mullet part, it triggers her gag reflex. haha. She's the best hair stylist ever! I was talking to her before FW about putting some color in my hair and she had some real crazy ideas. We didn't get a chance though but I'm still pondering what she said. Something like dark at the back and then like red or something but make it all blend together. I can't really picture it but it's sounds real crazy so it's tempting.

This morning I took Sarah's idea about the grill cheese. I put ham on it cause there was no bacon. I cut it diagonally to. So good for so little effort. Yum yum.

My thoughts ran out and I'm just staring blankly at the screen. There is other stuff I'd like to put on here, but not yet, heheheh.

Peace out.

I'm a Toys R Us...kid??

I love Toys R Us!! Me and my bro and K-Man go there once and a while and have a great time messing around playing with the swords and hockey equipment and riding around on those kids size bikes. On weedsday afternoon I went to the store in Barrie, but this time I was actually looking for a something to buy. A friend of mine just had a baby boy and I went to get one of them shower gifts. That was a first for me. I'm not a big fan of shopping for gifts cause usually I don't have a clue what to get. It was the same situation this time. I started thinking of the usual baby gifts but I wanted to get something different and sweet. So my plan of attack was to walk around till I found something that made me smile while nodding and smirk at the same time.

At first all I saw was just crap. All these useless sounds and moving and wobbling junk. But then I found this tool bench do-ha with a hammer and you hit these nail like objects and they made cool "boing" sounds. Not bad. Ya I know, this little dude can't use complicated toys yet, but crap, I ain't gonna give him squeeze and chew toys or drool absorbing fluffy things. When he's older I want him to remember the gift that uncle Steve got him. Then I spotted this three-in-one (points just for that) sports deal with a real baseball bat and tee ball to swing at, golf club and a putting hole, and a baseket ball with a hoop. And it said that the little dude only had to be 9 months to use it. Sweet Deal!!

By the time I left the store I felt very satisfied and mature. Satisfied cause I accomplished something I'd never done before. And mature cause I bought a gift for a baby, possibly triggered the father thing in me, and I didn't cause a commotion or get on the intercom and page my brother to the cash as a lost child.
