More Terminal Chaos

My last post was about our adventures at the airport. Well there was more chaos that day, and this is how it went.

Our friend Brian, like us, likes to cause a scene. And not just a typical scene were the onlookers just laugh for a sec or walk away shaking their heads in disgust. He likes to get the “onlookers” to participate. How does he do it your wondering? Brian is very creative and clever. He’s also spastic, and possibly made of rubber. So when he makes a scene, it’s very convincing. And if your convincing enough, the onlookers will think you really got hurt and possibly even check if you are. His stunts have included walking into a pole (with a large thud) in the mall in front of a group of seniors and then falling to the floor (with another loud thud). Or spontaneous falling into bushs and shrubs beside the sidewalk. And my favourite and own specialty, falling down stairs.

Last year around the same time we picked him up at the airport and he made a scene at the baggage claim area. That CBC guy that does the Olympics was on his flight and was walking behind Brian towards the exit when suddenly Brian tripped over someone’s luggage and crashed to the floor sending his own luggage scattering. The CBC guy asked Brian if he’d been drinking. Of course I laughing so hard it probably looked like I was drinking to.

So this year Brian wanted to outdo himself. And he did. We were walking through Terminal 1, Brian pulling one large suitcase and carrying a large duffle bag, and as we were passing a security checkpoint with 5 officers on duty, Brian decides to cause chaos. Suddenly in mid conversation he trips and falls to the floor skidding with a loud screech, the duffle bag attacking him and the suitcase skidding across the floor right behide him and Brian himself in a weird fetal position and spazing. I hide behind a pillar cause I was laughing myself unconscious. Three of the guards immediately walked over to see if he was ok. Brian said he was fine as he pick himself off the floor. The one guard was insistent that he should get checked out by the doctor. Brian argued with the guard that he was fine until he finally gave up.

I gave that stunt a 9 out of 10.

Quick, Easy Money...sorta legal

Yesterday our good friend Brian arrived at Pearson in the afternoon. Brian is my brothers friend but I like him to so I've claimed friendship with him to. His flight arrived at 1:30pm but we got to the airport a little early.

We drove into that huge parking area at terminal 1 and I noticed that there was quite a few of those luggage trolley's kicking around. Then I noticed that they have those return things now where you get a quarter back for the safe return of your trolly. So we jokingly returned a few trolleys and now had a few quarters. Suddenly I became addicted to getting quarters for next to free out of that little return dish. This led to a mad frenzy of running like idiots around the parking garage collecting as many trolleys as we could find. First pushing two at a time, then trying franticly to push six in the right direction at the same time!!

Well wouldn't you know that "they" don't like you getting all of their quarters. We had just about collected all the trolleys when I noticed a security car cruising around the lot. After it rounded the corner and out of sight for a second I made a mad dash for the last two. I got them into the return slot with quarters in hand just before it pulled up the the door where the cart return was and the bridge to the terminals. Walking as innocently as possible we made our way to the terminal with the security car watching us escape with our stash of quarters. hahahahaha!!! I really thought we were gonna get a talking to. So $5.75 later we parked for free and left with 25 cents in my pocket.

There was more airport antics starring Brian, he loves making a chaotic scene in public, but that will be my next post....
